Here we are again!

Yes, cooler weather has once again set in the northern hemisphere. Whether you’re in Canada or Key West, the familiar chill will soon arrive. Now more than ever, we need to keep our nutrition levels strong. Keeping our diets clean and strong helps our bodies to ward off colds and flu. Being physically strong helps us mentally as well, as we move into shorter days and longer nights. We must understand that nutrition is our first line of defense and that the wonderful foods offered at the Wholefood Farmacy make it easier for us to choose well and wisely. Not to mention that the foods that we are choosing taste fantastic. Have you ever set by a woodstove with a cup of hot chocolate and a handful of Phi-plus? How about a bowl of piping hot oatmeal sprinkled with Tropi-phi? Well, there are so many things that you can do for yourself that the WFF can help with. You can even get in shape with a Liquithon in cold weather. It’s easy. Just use warm to very warm water with Ampliphi, Beautiphi, Clariphi, Electriphi, Fructiphi, and Gloriphi. We suggest that you do stay with room temperature water with Detoxiphi. If you have never tried your farinas this way, well, you’re in for a treat. How about that Farmacy Gourmet Coffee? If you are acoffee drinker, you will be forever spoiled by the non-acid feel of WFF coffee. For a new twist on coffee, try a spoonful or two of Electriphi in your morning coffee. Experiment, have fun and rejuvenate. And lest we forget, how about WFF soups. Creamy Yam is always a great seasonal favorite. Serving this soup will make you a favorite host or hostess this holiday season. Try any of these soups as an added base to your
vegetables, rices, noodles, etc. You might even make a really great sauce or gravy as well. And when your body begs for comfort, remember the Vaporescent. This product is soothing anywhere especially the chest, back and feet. Try coating your feet at night and then put on some warm socks and go to sleep. You’ll wake up feeling refreshed. Posh Spahh is also a particularly nice treat in cold weather. Soak away the day and the distresses of the season with a nice hot Posh Spahh bath. The Wholefood Farmacy has many products that help to make your life fuller and happier. Also this holiday season, be sure to try our new “Holiday Feast.” The delicious cranberry phi plus is sure to have your taste buds tingling. Try it as a new
ingredient for your stuffing or make chocolate covered treats. Try it and let us know what you think.

Dr. John,

Q: “Why is dietary fiber important, and how do I include it in my daily meals?

Answer:   Fiber has always been a positive addition to our diets.  Fiber can be in two forms: insoluble and soluble.  While different, both have been shown to be beneficial.  Insoluble fiber, which primarily goes through the digestive system intact, works with soluble fiber to maintain a clean intestine - and may also help fight against blockages and disease of many types in that area.  By itself, soluble fiber helps reduce the risk for heart disease by lowering
overall cholesterol levels.  However, both types of fiber assist in fighting against obesity, high blood pressure, and a variety of stomach ailments.  The good news is that fiber is contained in many common foods such as breakfast cereals, virtually all fresh vegetables and fruit, beans, and whole wheat products.  We should consume about 25-30 grams of fiber per day, and if we eat healthy, reaching this goal is not difficult.  For instance, regularly eat a bowl of fiber-based cereal (up to 16 grams), a serving of beans (4-8 grams) or a large salad (8-10 grams), and a piece of fresh fruit (2-3 grams). For those of us that choose to eat Wholefood Farmacy snack foods and farinas, fiber is not a problem. Packed with fibers of all sorts, WFF foods help to make
you feel and look your best. Results from utilizing these foods are as vast as personalities themselves. We know that when you eat right, you feel right. Enjoy some Veggielicious or Fruitalicious today and tomorrow and the day after that as well. Your heart, intestine, stomach, and your face will thank you with a healthy smile.

King of the Hill

The September King of the Hill, Monthly Enroller Contest produced yet another surprise. If you are not familiar with this contest, you will want to be. Taking first honors by a storm is newcomer Paul Turnbull of Clearwater, Florida. Paul was first introduced to the Wholefood Farmacy via the internet and soon afterwards met Tom Zeitler at a Health Expo. Tom as you recall took first honors last month and has now taken Paul “under his wing” and turned him into a sponsor monster. Obviously a quick study, Paul’s group grew to 90 enrollees in the month of September. Of course, being the wise man that he is, Paul allowed various willing staff members at the Family Life Chiropractic Health Center in Clearwater, Florida to take credit (and pay) for 55 of the new enrollees. Paul took only 35 for himself. Thirty-five new enrollees was enough however to give him the first place prize in the Monthly Enroller Contest. Congratulations Paul (and Tom). More on Paul in the next issue. Second Place goes to the ever lurking Black Knight of New Jersey. A sly one is this unnamed contender. The Black Knight took second place with 15 enrollees. Each new enrollee averaged a little over $200 on their initial order. We suspect many TriDecathlon Deluxes being consumed. Congratulations! There are three third place prizes in this contest. The first winner is Randy Beck of Sioux Falls, SD. Randy finished the month with 15 new enrollees as did the Black Knight, but was edged out in total volume of new enrollee purchases. In the event of a tie the winner is determined by volume. Congratulations Randy on a fantastic month! The next winner is Lisa Jelinek of Pirtleville, AZ. Lisa introduced 13 new
enrollees to the Wholefood Farmacy during September. Lisa is a frequent contender and she enjoys not only the fantastic foods at the Wholefood Farmacy, but weekly checks as well. Way to go, Lisa! Finally, Phil Zeitler of Pinellas, Florida wins with 10 new enrollees. It seems that the Zeitler brothers may be on to some very smooth ways of doing business. Phil loves the Phi-plus and enjoys sharing the WFF message. Congratulations to Phil and again to all winners and
contenders. King of the Hill– The Surprises never Cease.
