The Whole Truth DVD - New and Improved

Look at this! We now have an upgraded version of The Whole Truth DVD. This version will be more effective for several reasons. First, the new version has more motion and is about 6 minutes shorter, with a new total running time of only 16 and one half minutes. More Motion + Less Time = More IMPACT! Second, the content has many new features. There is a new look to the DVD, new music, and more testimonials. Everything has been upgraded.  There are also new product shots featuring Phi Plus, Veggielicious Spice, Fruitalicious Plus, TropiPhi, all the Farinas, and the Tri Decathlon DELUX. Finally, there is an extra bonus track featuring roughly 36 minutes of exciting new testimonials. Topics covered include testimonials about the company, favorite products, convenience, the business of being a farmacist, and great calls to action. So now we will have it all in one.  A fresh, informative, new sales tool. Great for expos, meetings, or just sharing with everyone. This great new sales tool will be available in late June 2007

Ask   Dr. Marofsky

Q: Could you explain dehydration?
A: Dehydration is a condition that occurs when you lose more fluids than you are taking in.  The amount of fluid in your body then drops below the level needed for normal body function. This fluid is made up of water, electrolytes, and waste products. Surprisingly, your body loses about 2.5 liters of water per day through urine, sweat, and evaporation from your breath. Electrolyte is a scientific term for salt ions. Body fluids -- blood, plasma, interstitial fluid (fluid between cells) -- are like seawater and have high concentrations of sodium chloride, containing the electrolytes sodium and chloride.  Your body contains other important electrolytes including potassium, calcium, and bicarbonate.  It uses electrolytes to carry important electrical signals to and from the brain.  Dehydration symptoms start when 2% of your normal water volume is lost. They include dizziness, headaches, dry skin and mouth, cramps, profuse sweating, darker and less urine. More severe symptoms may include: impaired mental performance, stumbling, shriveled skin, sunken eyes, muscular spasm, and nausea, and could eventually lead to heat stroke.  Thirst is an indicator of dehydration, but not an early warning sign. By the time you feel thirsty, dehydration has occurred.  Avoid dehydration by drinking water and replenishing the necessary electrolytes.  Your body is made up of 60% to 70% water which is essential for digestion, circulation, temperature regulation, joint lubrication, and detoxification.  Dr. Howard Flaks, a bariatric (obesity) specialist in Beverly Hills, California, says, "By not drinking enough water, many people incur excess body fat, poor muscle tone and size, decreased digestive efficiency and organ function, increased toxicity in the body, joint and muscle soreness, and water retention." The minimum amount of water recommended for a healthy adult is 8 to 10 eight-ounce glasses a day. Your body will require more on hot days or when engaged in physical activity.
Incredibly 10% of Americans drink no water at all, and unfortunately, drink about 6 servings a day of coffee, soda, and other caffeinated beverages.  These drinks cause the body to lose water, making the problem worse.

Ask Dr. John

Question: Dr. John, what can I do to stay committed to my workouts?
Answer:  You are not alone.  Over 50% of all adults who start an exercise plan quit within the first 6 months.  However, there is help.  Here's what researchers have found to help people keep up with their workouts:

1) Get a friend to work out with you.  This will help you stay motivated and keep it fun.

2) Monitor your progress.  Keep a diary or some type of journal of your daily workouts.  Simply writing them down and reviewing the progress that you've made can be a great motivator.

3) Consider buying some equipment for your home.  On those days when the weather is bad or you simply don't have time to make it to the gym, a quick workout can keep you on track.

4) Enter some type of competitive event.  For instance, if you like to cycle, enter a bike race, even if it's just once a year.  This may be what you need to achieve that periodic emotional boost.  These are just some of the strategies you can use to stay committed to your workouts, so give one or all of them a try.

We at the Wholefood Farmacy  suggest that you bring your WFF products when you workout. This a great way to grow your business and meet new workout partners. Having a little Joule on hand for a celebration is a great idea, too. Remember that having fun is just part of the fun of getting in shape.

Recipes

Banana Chill
This one’s for fun, taste, and health. Start with 1 quart of rice milk in a blender, add 4 tablespoons of  WFF Clari Phi. Add 1 frozen banana and 2 tablespoons of Phi Plus. You may also want to add several ice cubes. Crush, blend, and spin yourself and your companion up a delicious smoothie. Garnish with a fresh strawberry.

Mango Delight
Here’s another blender delight. Start with 12 ounces of fresh pineapple juice and add 10 ounces of cool water. Place this in a blender and add the fruit of one ripe mango. Now add a nice handful of Tropi Phi. Throw in a few ice cubes and let her spin. Yumm… all this flavor right in your own home. (Hint: If you desire a fuller island effect, just throw a little sand on the floor.)

Yam Dressing
Choose your best plain yogurt and add WFF Yam Soup mix and stir. Season with a bit of fresh lemon and/or basil. Mix very well and let sit. This makes a great vegetable dip. This mixture is also great over asparagus, steamed green beans, rice dishes, or as a salad dressing. Try it!
