I'm getting an "address invalid" error message while trying to sign up

 

When you sign up, our system connects to the US Postal database to verify the address. Generally, abbreviations in the street name or city name can cause this error. The best strategy is to verify your address on the US Postal website.

 

1. Go to www.usps.com

 

2. At the top left of the page click on: Find a Zip code

 

3. Enter your street address in the box marked ADDRESS 1, then

• Enter your city in the box marked CITY
• Select your state
• Leave the zip code box blank
• Click on SUBMIT

 

4. The US POSTAL system will then display your address - or give you an error. If it displays an address, type the address onto our sign up page exactly as it shows on the US Postal website. If you get an address error on the US Postal website, simply call your local post office and they can assist you.

 

There are many cases where people have used incorrect city names and zip codes for many years - the mail still comes, but technically the address may not be correct.
