Over
the last 200 years there are three factors in our
environment that have been changing very slowly.
And the danger, when environmental factors change
slowly, is that no one seems to notice until things
get out of hand. Here’s what’s been changing.
TOXICITY IN OUR
ENVIRONMENT – Think back 200 years
and ask yourself was the air different, was the
water different, were there as many man made chemicals
and preservatives in our food, drinks, and personal
care products. . Over the past 200 years the levels
of toxins we are exposed to has sky rocketed. 100’s
of millions of cars and trucks on the road, factories
spewing toxins into the air 24 / 7. Jets flying
around the clock. Did know that a 747 burns 1500
gallons of fuel before it ever leaves the ground?
And what happens as all of these toxins move through
our bodies day in and day out? Well, the tell tale
signs are here. Despite all of the advances in technology
and medicine, cancer rates continue to climb at
a staggering 25% per year!
NUTRITIONAL INTAKE
IS DECREASING. That’s
not to say we are eating less, most of us are eating
more, but we are eating junk food that is devoid
of nutrition. You see, your body is designed to
rebuild, repair, and regenerate itself, and the
magnificent creation that is our body is fully capable
of doing this. But there’s a catch . . . . you have
to give your body what it needs . . . . you have
to give your body pure whole food nutrition that
delivers the natural nutrients that your cells can
recognize – not burgers, chips, and sodas. The mineral
Calcium is used to rebuild and repair cartilage
in the joints. . . . and the list goes on and on.
But if your body gets the proper amount of calcium
. . . . every single day . . . guess what, you won’t
come down with arthritis. In the last year the medical
research community switched the primary focus of
its research from miracle supplements to studying
the disease remission and preventative benefits
of whole food. Many major publications such as Time
Magazine, and Newsweek have reported on the extent
of these findings. There are numerous studies and
articles that have come out over the last several
years relating to the use of whole food to prevent
and remit disease.
DOCTORS ONLY MAKE
MONEY WHEN WE GET SICK. Of
all the things that have been changing . . . this
one is the most shocking. And it’s not the doctors
per se but the entire medical system that we have.
In medical school, doctors rarely study nutrition
and prevention. . . . but rather . . . . how to
cure a disease after someone becomes afflicted.
What’s really going on when someone goes to the
doctor complaining of arthritis? If you really think
about it, the person is experiencing pain because
of a nutritional deficiency, and now that the disease
has set in, the doctor will sell them some man made
chemical to help ease the pain. Is this what medicine
was meant to be? And what do you think would happen
if your doctor got paid each month you were healthy
and lost money when you got sick? Do you think you
would hear more about nutrition if that were the
case?
Well,
strangely enough it is the case, not with humans
though . . . . . but with animals! Farm animals
to be exact. Think about it. When the animals get
sick, the farmers lose money. So for decades and
decades, they have been perfecting the nutritional
formulas in their feeds. And it’s worked! When was
the last time you heard about exploding cancer rates
in chickens? And the same companies that produce
commercial feeds also make the food we buy for our
dogs and cats. Take a look at the label on any can
of dog food and you’ll find this statement - PROVIDES
100 % COMPLETE AND BALANCED NUTRITION. Think about
it . . . . the longer “Rover” lives, the more “Rover”
eats, an the more money they make. Imagine that.
Can you find that statement on a pizza, or on a
pack of hot dogs? Can you find that statement on
anything that you buy for your kids in the grocery
store? And then ask your self, who gets sick more,
your kids or your dog?
Yet
some ask . . . how can this be happening right under
our noses? Why do most people seem to be ignoring
this utter catastrophe? Well the answer is simple,
it is the nature of human beings to not take action
until they absolutely have to . . . . and things
will have to get a little worse until most people
really wake up.
Have
you ever heard the story of the frog in the frying
pan? It goes something like this. You can put a
pan of cool water on the stove and put a live frog
in the pan, and as long as the water is comfortable
the frog will stay right in the pan. You
can then turn the heat to a very low setting. So
low, that as the water begins to heat up the frog
can’t notice the difference. As the water gets warmer
and warmer the frog gets sleepier and sleepier and
finally falls off in a deep sleep. Meanwhile the
water is getting hotter and hotter and hotter. Finally
when the water begins to boil the frog wakes up
but the heat of the water has relaxed its muscles
so much that the frog can’t jump out of the pan.
It tries, it strains and lurches this way and that
way but by the time it wakes up . . . . it’s too
late. In a way this happens to people pretty much
same way. They ignore the nutritional needs of their
bodies, ignore the fact that they need even better
nutrition to help their bodies combat the effect
of all the toxins that we are exposed to and one
day . . . . boom . . . . heart attack! Then they
wake up . . . . and a lot of times they don’t.
But
all this has not gone completely unnoticed, in fact
there has been a quiet revolution afoot for some
time. This quiet revolution has come to be known
as the HEALTH AND WELLNESS INDUSTRY.
"
The doctor of the future will give no medicine,
but will interest his patients in the care of the
human frame,
in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease."
Thomas Edison
Most
people are very surprised to find out that the history
of the Health and Wellness Industry began many years
ago with a wonderful man named Thomas Edison. He
saw it coming over 100 years ago. Edison was single
handedly responsible for many things that we use
and take for granted every day. He invented the
electric light, he invented the first motion picture
camera, he even invented the process of recording
sound! Edison had an uncanny ability to see into
the future and to predict what people would need.
And that’s what motivated him. He was right about
all the other things he invented . . . . and he
was right about the Health and Wellness Industry
too.
Yes,
this quiet revolution has been gaining ground for
some time. People have been waking up to the facts,
and what has long been a quiet revolution can be
compared to a smoking volcano. A volcano that’s
showing signs of eruption! And when it erupts, anyone
positioned properly in the Health and Wellness Industry
can do very well indeed. And our congratulations
to you . . . . for being one of the few.
